Writing about Abraham

As a writer, I research, reflect and contemplate more than most. Abe, is the working title of our new book. On researching the ancient Mesopotamian world, I have found that it is not as different from our world as you may think. There were big cities, the countryside, the journey in between. There were people searching for belonging. Abram was one of those. In historical tradition Abe was exiled due to the evil king Nimrod and was sent to live in a cave miles from his family. He was searching for a true father - Father God himself. I did not realise I would be writing about father son relationships in detail, but that is what Abram, who became the biblical Abraham, The Father of All the Nations, experienced. He had amazing faith and trusted in God our Father and became a true father himself. He taught us like Father God, that letting go and giving up our lives in surrender is true love. Watch out for the new book, will keep you posted.
